The city of Evanston is
north of Chicago proper and is where the campus of Northwestern
University is located. The neighborhood where the weekend
events will be taking place is located only two blocks from Northwestern's
campus and there are many restaurants and shops within walking
distance. Check out the local

Hotels
We have reserved a block of rooms at the following hotels under
the Joehl-Richards Wedding. Both hotels
are within walking distance of the Woman's Club of Evanston. There
is an "El" stop a couple blocks from the hotels below:
Best
Western University Plaza (847-491-6400) - Three tenths
of a mile (about three blocks) from the Woman's Club of Evanston
(~$109 per night). Rooms will be blocked until April 5.
The
Homestead Hotel
(847-475-3300) - Two
and a half blocks from the Woman's Club of Evanston (~$120 per
night).This quaint and cozy hotel offers a variety of room sizes,
including 1- and 2-bedroom suites, studios with kitchen, and 1-
and 2-bedroom apartments with kitchen. If at least 10 rooms are
booked under our party, the room rate will drop down to $110 per
night. Rooms
will be blocked until April 5.

Garden Inn (847-475-6400) - ½ mile (about five blocks)
from the Woman's Club of Evanston. Airport car service available
- please ask when making reservations.
The Margarita European
Inn (847-869-2273) - Four blocks from the Woman's Club
of Evanston
Other hotel options can be found in the neighboring areas of Glenview
and Skokie.
Transportation
There are many ways to get around in Chicago. If you decide
against renting a car, the public transportation system is very
user friendly.
The CTA (a.k.a - "El") can drop you off
within a few blocks of the hotels in downtown Evanston. You should
take the Purple line and get off at the Davis Street stop.
If you decide to take a taxi from O'Hare Airport,
we recommend that you call an Evanston cab that has flat rates
instead of a Chicago taxi that may be waiting at the airport. Chicago
taxis will be more expensive! Two Evanston cabs that we suggest
are Norshore Cab (847-864-7500) and 303 Taxi (847-251-0303). Both
companies usually have cabs nearby and will instruct you as to
where to be met.

To Ray & Julia Joehl's house at 515 Warwick Road,
Kenilworth, Illinois 60043:
Follow Sheridan Road north. You will pass Northwestern University's
campus. The road will eventually curve left, and you will
come to a stoplight at the top of a small hill. Turn right
at the light to stay on Sheridan Rd. Continue on Sheridan
Rd. for approximately 3.0 miles. At the Kenilworth Avenue
stoplight, turn left. Continue on Kenilworth Ave. until you
come to Warwick Road (you will see two churches at this intersection). Turn
right on Warwick Rd. and continue through the first stop sign. Ray & Julia's
house is the second house on the right after the stop sign (515
Warwick Road). Please park on the opposite side of the street.
To Northwestern University's Leonard Thomas
Athletic Complex (Alumni
soccer game on Sunday, May 8): Follow Sheridan Road to the north
end of campus. Turn right
on Lincoln (stoplight), follow the curve right and go south on
Campus Drive. Follow Campus Drive approximately a half block and
turn left (east). Thomas Athletic Complex will be on your
